St Wulfram's IPA

This beer was brewed and blessed by Reverend Amanda Cartwright on Sunday, 16 February 2020, to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of the death of St Wulfram and celebrate the return in 2020 of his relics to Grantham.

It is a typical English IPA with the hop bitterness coming from its use of gener ous amounts of Cluster and East Kent Goldings.

The parish church of St Wulfram's is a noble building in every aspect, one of the largest medieval churches in the country, seating around 700 people. Simon Jenkins in his book England's Thousand Best Churches gave it a five-star rating, in part for the tower and spire.
